Our waist beads are all handmade the traditional way with durable cotton strings in order to serve the purpose of weight management the proper way.
Can I wear them as a non african?

Yes of course! We've served women from all backgrounds and love to see them appreciating our culture.

What we don't accept is culture appropriation.
Do they have clasps?

No they don't. This is because they are meant to be tied exactly where you wish on your waist and also clasps can easily break or be damaged.

I was a bit confused on how to tie them off and put them on the videos on social media are a bit fast, I felt so slow. Haha. But I got them on and I look forward to them falling as I start my weight loss journey. There’s no treadmill in our house so I’m counting on my beads to show me my progress. I like the beads due to the fact it was little and flimsy it broke as soon as I was tying it on. All wasn’t lost I just turn what string and beads I had left and made it into an anklet. I don’t know if the threading was not enough or not. Hopefully when I get a new one it’s have more stability and strength when I tie it.

These waist beads are so beautiful. I connect to them through my ancestors. My only issue is that I bought 2 others not even a year ago and they popped, and no I was not pulling on them doing anything that would have caused them to pop, it was not from weight gain either. These are expensive so I didn't expect for them to pop so easily 🙃.

very pretty; the green glistens with some purple and yellow to it; so sparkly i LUVVV (I’m also adding this to all my reviews because I didnt know I had to do this: I live in Canada and had to pay for duties and customs. just letting everyone know in case you’re also from Canada. i dont mind paying cuz the quality is worth it but if youre buying around 5 waistbeads, anticipate at least 25$ worth of customs fees)

This is now my third one! I’m not a huge fan of my second one but that’s more a preference of style. Either way, I’m very happy with my purchases and I’m already looking at another one I want to buy lol.
