are they made with cotton strings or elastic?

Our waist beads are all handmade the traditional way with durable cotton strings in order to serve the purpose of weight management the proper way.
Can I wear them as a non african?

Yes of course! We've served women from all backgrounds and love to see them appreciating our culture.

What we don't accept is culture appropriation.
Do they have clasps?

No they don't. This is because they are meant to be tied exactly where you wish on your waist and also clasps can easily break or be damaged.

I love the color.. the only issue is the video say 3 knot. I tried doing this an they kept sliding apart. So I lost some beads when it fell off. This is my fault.. so when I tried it again. I thought I could burn the knot. This didn't help. So i will order some new one an just let them hang big on me until I figure out how to tied a good knot
